Before your Invisalign aligners treatment begins, you may have some questions. How much does Invisalign cost? What will the Invisalign process look like? What if I break my aligner tray? The Invisalign website outlines some of the most popular Invisalign questions patients have for their orthodontists. In this blog, we take the time to answer these questions and help you prepare for your consultation. Read on to learn more, then request your appointment with our team!
Do You Take Digital or Physical Impressions?
Every Invisalign process starts with impressions, allowing us to get a 360-degree view of your smile and customize your aligners accordingly. We use a digital scanner, so there are no goopy impression trays, and our team gets a more precise look at your teeth.
Do You Use Real Invisalign Aligners?
No cut corners here! We use real Invisalign aligners in our treatment. Invisalign has been around for nearly 25 years and has been worn by millions of teens and adults.
How Long Does Invisalign Treatment Last?
This is one of the most common Invisalign questions our team gets asked! Invisalign treatment typically lasts 9 to 18 months. However, this varies from patient to patient. Patients with more complex overbites or underbites or patients who don’t wear their Invisalign as often as they should (20 to 22 hours per day) may have to wear their aligners longer.
Are Payment Plans Available?
We offer monthly payment plans for families to help make Invisalign and its benefits even more accessible. During a free consultation, we’ll outline the payment plan options available.
What If I Break My Aligner Tray?
Sometimes patients are afraid to ask this Invisalign question, but accidents happen! Sometimes aligners get lost or break from wear and tear, like grinding your teeth while you sleep. Give our office a call if your aligners break. Replacements and repairs are included in our price.
How Do I Clean My Invisalign?
Your Invisalign should be cleaned every day, multiple times per day, to prevent bacteria growth and staining. Clean your aligners morning and night with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a tiny bit of antibacterial soap. Rinse your aligners after removing them, and regularly soak them in denture cleaner to kill bacteria.
